what is a culturegraph? A culturegraph is an expression of pop culture (song lyrics, movie lines, whatever) in the form of a graph, flow chart, or other “technical” representation. We’ve watched the explosion of the “song chart meme” on Flickr recently, but also thought about things like movie quotes and other pop culture references. We dubbed the term for these “culturegraphs” and built this Web site as a place to bring them all together, from the community at large. If you aren’t familiar with the concept, think of it as “the unfortunate meeting of accountants with pop culture.”
I want to create culturegraphs, can I participate? Outstanding, and yes you can. If you have culturegraphs or an idea for one, please explore your muse and then send it in. We will post it up for everyone to see.
who are you guys?We are a group of friends who all thought this trend was cool. We are doing this in our spare time because it’s fun, and we think this is a cool trend that is going to take off, and for once in our lives want to be on the cutting edge of something!
did you invent culturegraphs? Sadly, we cannot take the credit (although we did come up with the name one day while eating Indian buffet lunch with an iPhone handy to look up domains). We think it came from KXCD with this culturegraph:
